Drydruid is the family photographer. Ollie is the writer and considers herself very smart to have bought D2 camera equipment. She gets great photos and doesn’t have to carry the gear!

We are currently working in the Middle East and will be departing 4 June 2007 for an extended trip through Asia. We started the blog so our family and friends can keep up with us (and know where to start looking for the bodies in case we disappear).

Thanks for posting your website addy in Mike O’Hara’s Lion’s Talk Column. I’ve looked, and will continue looking at, your website and will be interested in hearing about your travels as your journey unfolds. I would imagine, after living in Phoenix for 14 years as I did, and you in Doha for 5, that rain is now for you, as it is for me, a constant source of enjoyment and wonder, no matter how hard it falls. Trust me, being gone from Phoenix for 7 years, I still look forward to a rainy forecast.

Your pictures are amazing, Ollie’s writings are very informative and fun to read, and I wish you the very best in your future travels.

You dirty rat! You calling me a lawyer!! Of all the things you could have chosen to call me and you pick a lawyer!! I hate all lawyers, except for about 2-3, and then I like them only on very rare occasions. You can call me a retired cop, a consulate officer, a giver of visas, US Govt. employee, a great guy, a nice guy, one of the 3 Amigos, Bit–, or just about anything else, but a lawyer!!!!
